New Writing Services Business Opens

Kansas City--Phyllis Edson, owner of Edson Research, LLC, announced the launching of her new writing services business today.

Edson Research, LLC, provides research and writing services, including training manuals, press releases, copywriting and web content.  Edson, a published author, said she is also available to ghost write books and help people reach their own dreams of becoming published.

Edson said she realized there was a need in the area for a trained, freelance writer through her involvement in the community.  "In the past couple of years, I have become more active in the local community and area organizations.  During this time, I've been asked to write a training manual, a few grants and some other projects by the organizations I've been involved with.  This gave me the courage to start my own professional writing business," she said.

She said she hopes to use her writing to not only pursue her own dreams but to help others pursue theirs as well.  "I have such respect for the people who run their own businesses, but frequently they don't have the staff or time to write articles, press releases or other pieces in order to further the work their organizations do.  Hopefully, I can provide a service to them," said Edson.

Though the business is new, Edson has 20 years of writing experience.  She has written for a broad variety of organizations including professional associations, non-profits, think tanks, political/governmental agencies and corporations.  She has experience writing press releases, white papers and research projects, grants, newsletters, brochures, ebooks, and Kindle books and more.  For each client, she says, she provides professionally written, well-researched products that satisfy the needs of the individual client and appeal to that client's audience.

Edson is located in outside Kansas City, and she is a graduate of the University of Missouri's School of Journalism.
